Can I add Automation to my existing assets?
Yes, new Control System components can be added to existing Coil Tubing and Wireline Units. Stimline has recently retrofitted Coil Tubing Units in North America and Norway, along with hydraulic offshore Wireline Winches, all with brand new control system in the last year.
The Wireline Winches are operating offshore for Altus Intervention and Archer in the harsh environments of the Danish and Norwegian North Sea. Our standard retrofit Control System package adds functions like Constant Tension, Go to Depth, Trend System, Alarm System, Tension Sense, Load Cell Calibration, Equipment Management and several other automation features.
The new hardware that is required is minimal and limited to a PLC Controller and HMI Touchscreens, whilst reusing all existing hydraulics and instrumentation.
A Stimline Automation retrofitted winch can also be delivered with IDEX Advisor. This App automatically generates a job plan and instructions for the ASX control system based on the engineering model created in IDEX Designer and the standard operating procedures from the service company or oil company.
